The android market boasts of over 100000 apps and more then billion downloads, but not all of them are related to your buisness and so that much helpful so their is my League of top 5 business Android Apps
1.Documents to go: Dataviz used to originally provide Office documents supports for olg age handhelds and PalmOS.it sure was a long time ago and is available on almost all mobile platforms.Documents To Go brings a highly desired enterprise capability to the Android platform and the obstacles to adopting Android as a viable business device are starting to fall.
Outstanding features: I’ll walk through the Word and Excel functionality of the software below, but first I wanted to list some of the absolutely amazing features of the client (some of which I have NEVER seen before on a mobile device). With Documents To Go for the Google Android platform you get support for Word and Excel 2007 (XML formatted) documents, support for receiving and sending attachments through Gmail and other applications (including the free RoadSync) Exchange beta client, open password protected files, and view Word documents with track changes so you can see what others have done to your document.
When you first launch Documents To Go you will see a simple “home” screen with Word To Go and Sheet To Go buttons up top and About Documents To Go, Check for Updates, and Give Us Feedback buttons below the halfway point. Tapping on Word To Go or Sheet To Go takes you into each specific module and from here you can choose to Open a File or Create a New Document. If you have used the application before then you will also see a list of most recently used files, including those stored on external storage cards.
Unlike many other Android applications, pressing the Menu button on the “home” screen or Word/Sheet To Go launch screens will not bring up any other menu options. Everything you need to start using the application is presented in large button format on your display.
2.PDANET:PdaNet enables your phone to tether to your computer via the USB data port or even create a DUN over Bluetooth. I had been looking at tethering since I got my Nexus One and although I was able to find a lot of options only two did not require me to root my phone. PdaNet and Easy Tether. I went with PdaNet simply because I download it first it work and I saw no reason to try the other one. Basically what I am saying is Easy Tether may be as good as PdaNet, But I never saw a reason to try it out.
Setup was easy I download the app from the market place and followed the instruction to get the software on my computer. What is great about PdaNet is they understand the chances are you are not going to download the app until you have a need to tether which means your computer does not have a network connection. They solve this issue by giving you the option to download the PC install file to you SD card and give you instruction on how to run it off the card to install it on your computer.
PdaNet claims that they have perfected the process so much that when using the device for USB tether you do not have any lag from the software, my unscientific test seem to support this. I used Speedtest.net on the computer as well as the Speedtest.net Android App running a number of test back and forth between the two and found that the connected of course varied a little, but that the computer was not always slower then the phone. Again this does not prove PdaNet’s claim but it doesn’t hurt it either.
3.GIST:Gist provides the only full view of the contacts in your professional network by creating rich business profiles that include the most news, status updates and work details.Presented in context, Gist puts the most important information about important contacts at your fingertips.it probably looks like Linkedin with Android application but this works way better on the social networking aspect and also manages your contacts well.Best thing about this application is that its absolutely free and works on all versions of android.
4.LAYAR:It is a augmented reality browser that uses a combination of the phones camera ,comapss and GPS data to identify the user’s location and feild of view ,retrieve data based on those geographical coordinates and overlay that data over camera view. The layay reality browser shows what is around you by displaying real time digital information on top of the real world as seen through the camera of your phone.
Reality Browser also interacts with other elements of the internet, such as Twitter. If a Twitter user has specified their location whilst posting a Tweet, it will be logged and they will appear in Reality Browser as a nearby contact. This aspect of the program is as impressive as it is unnerving; one can only imagine what ramifications might follow if someone Tweets something offensive about a nearby user, or if they admit on Twitter that they left the front door of their house unlocked before leaving for work.
5.TECHTALK SYSTEM MONITOR:it’s a great application for finding out system components and their status, so for example if you have SNMP service running on your laptop, point Techtalk to your public IP address, and click discover! You’ll see in few seconds the complete status of your laptop – what connections you have and which of them is active, what is the status if your disk and memory, what other equipment you may have in your PC or connected to it, such as printers etc.
In a professional environment, Techtalk is a great tool to discover and monitor equipment such as hosts, switches and routers via SNMP, providing that the target device has a public IP address, and the owner’s policies do allow for external SNMP probing. Select the device IP address, community string, SNMP port and disk alarm threshold. In this case, you may want also to poll (monitor) the health of the target device over time, check the box saying “check for polling”, select the polling interval (one minute by default), hit discover and Voila! your target device is now being monitored! If a problem will be found, for example a connection gets disconnected or your disk is running out of space – the appropriate Techtalk tab will be marked, you can open it and click on the component in red text to figure out what is the problem!!
